I was born and raised in Red Deer and Lacombe, AB, on the traditional territory of the Blackfoot Confederacy (Siksika, Piikani, Kainai), Tsuut’ina, Stoney Nakoda, and the peoples of Treaty 6 and 7. My family and I come from a mixed European background. I relocated from Alberta three years ago, but I’ve been visiting the West Coast since 2012. I feel very fortunate to live, play, work, learn and raise my children on the traditional territories of many First Nations, who’s land I am on. My two children and husband keep my very busy, and in my free time, I like to read, surf, walk, and practice yoga. One day, I hope I can go on a family fishing trip to catch my favourite fish, salmon.
