Our Mission
Our Guiding Principles
Iisaakstalth Respect one another
Hahuupstalth Teach one another
Ya ?akstalth Care for one another
Huupitstalth Listen to one another
Our goal is to offer primary care that First Nation and Indigenous people want to access. We strive to create welcoming and safe spaces that centers Indigenous ways of knowing and being. Walking with both medicines, we partner with the Uut Uustukyuu Health Society to offer traditional healing practices and protocols alongside Family Physicians, Registered Nurses, mental wellness practitioners and system navigators.
The interdisciplinary mobile team will travel into the 6 Health Centres of Hesquiaht, Ahousaht, Tla-o-qui-aht, Ucluelet and Toquaht First Nations.
All our goals are aligned with British Columbia’s Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples Act (DRIPA), Truth and Reconciliation Commission (TRC) Calls to Action, Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women and Girls (MMIWG) Calls to Justice, and the United Nations Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples (UNDRIP) articles.
